 Who We Are

Picture
Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA) is a membership organization for artists working in all media in the Lake Chapala area of Mexico. Established in 1986, The Society encourages working and aspiring artists to develop their talents, and it provides and promotes events to showcase their work. ASA also functions as a social and educational network, helping members share their creative techniques and inspiration with each other to further individual artistic growth and ability. ASA is a sponsor of the Children's Art Program Mural at the Lake Chapala Society. Members are encouraged to contribute to the community by participating in the Lake Chapala Society’s Children’s Art Training Program.

Our Web site
The Gallery displays members’ artwork (click a name to see the artist’s work); the Links page connects you to members’ personal web pages; News tells you what shows, sales, meetings, and other ASA events are upcoming; and Contact Us is your connection to ASA for questions and comments. Enjoy!

Membership in ASA

A 1-year membership is 200 pesos and may be paid at monthly meetings (first Monday of most months). The membership year runs from January 1 through December 31. Members are allowed to display their artwork in the Gallery on this site, to access the ASA Yahoo Group, and to participate in regular shows and sales held in the Lakeside area.
